Raised by Mrs Florence Bennett, Crosby Green, West Derby, Liverpool as a result of some apple cores being thrown on a garden rubbish heap. It was received by the National Fruit Trials in 1971. Fruits have fairly firm, juicy flesh with a sweet and lemon flavour.
