A sport of Starking having a more solid red flush. Discovered in 1952 by Lester Green and Clifford Nelson in the Azwell Orchard of the Wells and Wade Fruit Company, Wenatchee, Washington, USA. Introduced in 1958. Fruits have very firm, very sweet, juicy flesh with a highly aromatic flavour.
