Sowman's Seedling

Raised in 1914 at the County Horticulture Station, Hutton, Lancashire by Sowman. Introduced and named in 1927 by the Lancashire Agricultural Committee. Acquired by Rivers Nurseries of Sawbridgeworth, Herts. Fruits have fairly firm, fine, yellowish white tinged green flesh with an acid flavour.
